6 Interceptions, 162 Interception Yards, 5 Pass Break-Ups, 2 Tackles for Loss – und das in nur 10 absolvierten Spielen in der Regular Season. Der US-amerikanische Defensive Back Raheem Simiram-Wilson kam im Laufe der vergangenen Saison 2024 zur Surge und entpuppte sich auf Anhieb als ein Schlüsselspieler der Stuttgarter Verteidigung. Mit der Vertragsverlängerung wird der 31-Jährige auch in der kommenden Saison eine tragende Rolle in den Planungen des Coaching Staffs um Jordan Neuman spielen.
Was Raheem Simiram-Wilson dazu bewogen hat, eine weitere Saison im GAZi-Stadion auf der Waldau zu spielen: „Teil von etwas Besonderem zu sein. Von einem großartigen Trainerstab bis hin zu einer erstaunlichen Gruppe gleichgesinnter Spieler auf dem Feld. Die Höhen und Tiefen des Spiels zu erleben, das uns dazu auffordert, über unsere Grenzen hinauszugehen. Als Einzelne großartig zu sein und ein noch größeres Team zu bilden. Jeden Moment der Saison zu genießen, vom ersten Treffen bis zum Schlusspfiff. Und am Ende die Meisterschaftstrophäe vor der gesamten Stuttgarter Stadt in die Höhe zu recken.“
Mit Championship Games kennt sich Wilson aus: In seiner Zeit bei den Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns von 2017 bis 2018 gewann er mit seinem damaligen und jetzigen Head Coach Jordan Neuman zweimal den German Bowl. 2023 spielte er in der CFL bei den Montreal Alouettes und konnte sich den Grey Cup sichern. Zwischenzeitlich spielte Wilson drei Jahre lang bei den Calgary Stampeders in der CFL (2019-2022).
Den Sport erlernte der US-Amerikaner bei den Irving Tigers. Weitere Stationen seiner schulischen und sportlichen Laufbahn waren die DeSoto High School und die Southeastern Oklahoma State University, wo er von 2013 bis 2016 in der NCAA Division II im Einsatz war und 2016 sowohl mit der Nominierung für das First-Team All-Great American Conference als auch für das Second-Team All-American geehrt wurde.

Wilson knows a thing or two about championship games: During his time with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns from 2017 to 2018, he won the German Bowl twice with then and current head coach Jordan Neuman. In 2023, he played in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes and won the Grey Cup. Meanwhile, Wilson played three years with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL (2019-2022).
The American learned the sport with the Irving Tigers. Other stops in his educational and athletic career were DeSoto High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he played in NCAA Division II from 2013 to 2016 and was honored with a First Team All-Great American Conference nomination as well as a Second Team All-American in 2016.
