Surge will an starkes erstes Saisonspiel anknüpfen
Am Sonntag, dem 18. Juni, um 13 Uhr ist Kickoff für das erste Heimspiel der Saison. Im GAZI-Stadion auf der Waldau empfangen die Stuttgart Surge das neue ELF-Team Milano Seamen.
Nach dem ersten Sieg seit der Saison 2021 will die Surge an der starken Leistungbeim 29:20-Sieg in Paris gegen die Musketeers anknüpfen und das zweite Spiel in Folge gewinnen.
Die Milano Seamen, die gemeinsam mit der Surge in der Central Conference spielen, verloren ihr erstes Spiel der Franchisegeschichte am vergangenen Wochenende zu Hause knapp mit 33:41 gegen die Barcelona Dragons. Während im Laufspiel für dieSeamen nicht viel ging, warf der US-Quarterback Luke Zahradka für 380 Yards und vier Touchdowns. Allerdings warf er auch zwei Interceptions. Der italienische Wide Receiver Tamsir Seck fing für 100 Yards und einen Touchdown. Auch die Passempfänger Juan Calderon und Jean Constant waren mit 97 und 82 Yards sehr produktiv. Der US-Amerikaner Constant spielte in der ELF bereits für die Barcelona Dragons und die Hamburg Sea Devils. Angeführt wird das Team von Head Coach Stefan Pokorny aus Österreich.
Während die Seamen nun ihren ersten Sieg in der ELF feiern wollen, will Stuttgart Surge den ersten Heimspielsieg feiern und das zweite Spiel in Folge gewinnen.
Surge aim to build on strong first game of the season
On Sunday, the 18th of June, at 1 p.m., it's kickoff for the first home game of the season. The Stuttgart Surge will welcome the new ELF-team Milano Seamen at the GAZI-Stadium on the Waldau.
Coming off their first win since the 2021 season, the Surge will look to build on their strong performance in the 29:20 win in Paris against the Musketeers and win their second straight game.
The Milano Seamen, who play together with the Surge in the Central Conference, lost their first game in franchise history last weekend at home with a narrow 33:41- loss against the Barcelona Dragons. While not a whole lot went right for the Seamen in the running game, US quarterback Luke Zahradka threw for 380 yards and four touchdowns. However, he also threw two interceptions. Italian wide receiver Tamsir Seck caught for 100 yards and a touchdown. Wide receivers Juan Calderon and
Jean Constant were also very productive with 97 and 82 yards respectively. The US-American Constant already played for the Barcelona Dragons and the Hamburg Sea Devils in the ELF. The team is led by Head Coach Stefan Pokorny from Austria.
While the Seamen are now looking to celebrate their first win in the ELF, Stuttgart Surge are looking to celebrate their first home win and win their second game in a row.
