Die Offensive Line behält ein bekanntes Gesicht auch in 2023. Darnell Minton wird auch in der kommenden Saison wieder auf der Waldau spielen und Quarterback Reilly Hennessey beschützen. Der 2-Meter-Hüne bringt nicht nur 140kg Muskelmasse auf den Platz, sondern auch reichlich Football-Erfahrung mit. Darnell ist zweifacher deutscher Meister, European League of Football-Champion der ersten Saison und Footballer mit Leib und Seele.
2011 begann er mit American Football bei den Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. Dort spielte sein größerer Bruder Ari als Wide Receiver, den er damals zu den Spielen begleitete. Als er endlich selbst alt genug war, durchlief er so gut wie jedes Jugendprogramm, von den Flaggies, bis zu den Herren. Nach 5 Jahren bei den Seniors der Unicorns und zwei Siegen im German Bowl, wechselte er 2021 zu Frankfurt Galaxy in die European League of Football und konnte dort nahtlos an seine vorigen Erfolge anknüpfen. 2022 stand er für Stuttgart Surge auf dem Platz. In der kommenden Saison wird er nun mit seinem Bruder gemeinsam in der Offense bei Stuttgart Surge alles geben.
Statement Darnell Minton: „Dieses Jahr wird ein Neues Stuttgart Team vor euch stehen und ich werde alles dafür geben meinen Teil dazu beizutragen.“
„Football is Family“ stimmt im Hause Minton auf jeden Fall, schließlich spielen die beiden Brüder Aurieus und Darnell 2023 nach zwei Jahren Unterbrechung wieder im selben Team.
The offensive line will keep a familiar face in 2023. Darnell Minton will play in the Waldau again next season and protect quarterback Reilly Hennessey. The 2-meter giant not only brings 140kg of muscle to the field, but also plenty of football experience. Darnell is a two-time German champion, first-season European League of Football champion and a football player with heart and soul.
In 2011, he started playing American football for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. His older brother Ari played there as a wide receiver, whom he accompanied to the games at the time. When he was finally old enough himself, he went through just about every youth program, from the Flaggies, to the Seniors. After 5 years with the Unicorns Seniors and two wins in the German Bowl, he moved to Frankfurt Galaxy in 2021 in the European League of Football and was able to seamlessly continue his previous successes. In 2022, he was on the pitch for Stuttgart Surge. In the coming season, he will now give everything together with his brother in the offense at Stuttgart Surge.
Statement Darnell Minton: "This year a New Stuttgart Surge Team will be in front of you and I will give everything to do my part."
"Football is Family" is definitely true in the Minton house, after all, both brothers Aurieus and Darnell will be playing on the same team again in 2023 after a two-year hiatus.
