Head Coach Jordan Neuman und sein Coaching Staff sind weiter am Rekrutieren für die kommende Saison 2025. Mit Nick Wenzelburger und Sarrow Drammeh sichern sich die Stuttgarter zwei Stützen für das Defensive Backfield und setzen weiterhin auf Big Plays der Defensive und auf Interceptions.
„Pick-Nick“ Wenzelburger geht in seine fünfte Saison bei der Stuttgart Surge. Seit der Gründungssaison 2021 steht der gebürtige Stuttgart in der European League of Football für die Surge auf dem Platz. Zuvor war er von 2011 bis 2020 für die Stuttgart Scorpions im Einsatz und ist somit als Stuttgarter durch und durch beflügelt von einem möglichen Finale „daheim“: „Ich hoffe, unsere Fans sind bereit für ein großartiges Jahr des Stuttgart Surge-Footballs, das wir in der MHPArena beenden werden.“ In bislang 48 Spielen im Surge-Dress kommt der heute 25-Jährige auf 165 Total Tackles und 9 Interceptions, einige davon spielentscheidend. 2021 wurde Wenzelburger ins All-Star Team der ELF berufen.
Im Laufe der vergangenen Saison 2024 stieß der deutsche Defensive Back Sarrow Drammeh zur Stuttgart Surge und hat seinen Vertrag für die kommende Saison verlängert. Der 21-jährige Cornerback erlernte von 2018 bis 2022 die Grundregeln des American Footballs bei den Stuttgart Scorpions. 2023 zog es Drammeh in die Vereinigten Staaten und ans College: Er stand eine Saison lang in den Diensten der Memphis Tigers, die in der NCAA Div. I Football Subdivision und damit höchstklassig in den USA spielen. Das junge Talent bringt somit bereits Erfahrung auf allerhöchstem Niveau mit zur Surge und zu seinen Teammates. Dieses Jahr hat Drammeh vor, sich durchzusetzen und seine Fähigkeiten in den Dienst der Mannschaft zu stellen. Sein Motto: „Dominate!“

Head Coach Jordan Neuman and his coaching staff are still recruiting for the upcoming 2025 season. With Nick Wenzelburger and Sarrow Drammeh, the Stuttgart Surge have secured two mainstays for the defensive backfield and continue to focus on big plays on defense and interceptions.
"Pick-Nick" Wenzelburger enters his fifth season with the Stuttgart Surge. The Stuttgart native has been on the field for the Surge in the European League of Football since the inaugural 2021 season. He previously played for the Stuttgart Scorpions from 2011-2020, and as a native of Stuttgart, he is very excited about a potential final "daheim": "I hope our fans are ready for a great year of Stuttgart Surge football, what we will finish in the MHPArena.” In 48 games for the Surge, the now 25-year-old has made 165 total tackles and 9 interceptions, some of which were game-changing. Wenzelburger was named to the 2021 ELF All-Star Team.
German defensive back Sarrow Drammeh joined the Stuttgart Surge for the 2024 season and has extended his contract for the upcoming season. The 21-year-old cornerback learned the fundamentals of American football with the Stuttgart Scorpions from 2018 to 2022. In 2023, Drammeh moved to the United States for college, spending one season with the Memphis Tigers, who play in the NCAA Div. I Football Subdivision, the highest division in the United States. The young talent brings experience at the highest level to the Surge and his teammates. This year, Drammeh wants to make his mark and put his skills to work for the team. His motto: "Dominate!"
