Die Offensive Line bekommt einen weiteren neuen Spieler. Lenny Sadzik spielt in der kommenden Saison bei Stuttgart Surge und möchte sich hier weiterentwickeln.
Der 1, 96m große und 155 kg schwere Offensive Lineman zu seinem Wechsel: „Die Entscheidung zu Surge zu gehen war eigentlich ein Selbstläufer. Ich spielte davor 3 Jahre in der Bezirksliga bei den Black Forest Foxes. Mir wurde vom Coaching Staff klar gemacht, dass ich ein ideales Frame sowie ein großes Potenzial habe und sie mich gerne coachen wollen, um was aus mir zu machen.”
Lenny kommt von einem ganz anderen Bereich des Sports, da er zuvor im Motorsport unterwegs war und das sogar relativ erfolgreich. Mehrere landesweite Titel konnte er in Baden-Württemberg erringen, ist jedoch relativ schnell zu groß für das Kart geworden. Anschließend hat er sich nach einer anderen Sportart und Gelegenheit umgesehen und ist zum American Football und den Black Forest Foxes gewechselt. Mit 16 Jahren trainierte er schon bei der ersten Mannschaft mit und konnte nach erreichen der Volljährigkeit seine ersten Spiele im Herrenteam absolvieren. Die Entscheidung erwies sich als genau richtig, da er gleich im ersten Jahr die teaminterne Auszeichnung als Most Improved Player ergattern konnte.
Nun will der 19-Jährige in der European League of Football die nächsten Schritte in seiner Entwicklung gehen. Seine körperlichen Voraussetzungen sind dabei ideal und mit dem Stuttgarter Coaching Staff hat er die richtigen Trainer an seiner Seite, um seine Möglichkeiten voll auszuschöpfen.

The 6’5” tall and 342 lbs heavy offensive lineman explains his move: “The decision to join Stuttgart Surge was actually a no-brainer. Before coming to Stuttgart, I played for three years with the Black Forest Foxes in our local league. The coaching staff here made it very clear to me that I have the ideal frame as well as huge potential and that they would like to coach me to further develop my skills.”
Lenny started in a completely different area of sports, as he was previously racing in motorsports and was relatively successful at that. He was able to win multiple state titles in Baden-Württemberg but quickly became too big for karting. Afterwards, he looked for another opportunity in another sport and joined the Black Forest Foxes to play American Football. At the age of 16, he was already training with the senior team and was allowed to play his first games with the seniors as soon as he was 18. The decision proved to be right as he won the team’s award for Most Improved Player in his very first season.
The 19-year old now wants to take the next steps in his development in the European League of Football. His physical attributes seem to be ideal and with the Stuttgart Surge coaching staff he has the right people around him to fully exploit his potential.
