Die Stuttgart Surge nimmt im Zuge der Insolvenz der American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH schweren Herzens Abschied von Head Coach Jordan Neuman.
Jordan Neuman war seit 2023 Head Coach der Stuttgart Surge und prägte die Franchise wie kein anderer. Was ursprünglich ein langfristiges, nachhaltiges Projekt werden sollte, fand nun ein vorzeitiges Ende. Die vergangenen drei Jahre – 2023, 2024 und 2025 – waren aus Sicht von Jordan Neuman eigentlich erst der Anfang eines Weges, den er in Stuttgart noch viele Jahre weitergehen wollte.
Mit seiner Ankunft 2023 hat Jordan Neuman die gesamte Franchise neu ausgerichtet und tiefgreifend verändert. Er führte das Team von sportlich schwierigen Jahren in eine neue Ära. Neuman etablierte eine klare Identität, formte eine leistungsorientierte, professionelle Kultur und brachte seine authentische, zielstrebige und motivierende Art täglich ein. Er schaffte es, nicht nur das Team, sondern auch die Fans, die Partner und die gesamte Region mitzunehmen.
Unter seiner Führung entwickelte sich die Surge zu einem Spitzenprogramm im europäischen Football: 2023 Vizemeister, 2025 Europameister. Jordan Neuman formte ein Championship Team – ein Erfolg, der ohne ihn undenkbar gewesen wäre. Die Stuttgart Surge wäre ohne Jordan Neuman nicht das geworden, was sie war.
Die gesamte Organisation ist Jordan Neuman zutiefst dankbar. Er hat in Stuttgart Geschichte geschrieben und wird nie vergessen werden.

Ich bin zutiefst dankbar, dass ich die Möglichkeit hatte, dieses Franchise in den letzten drei Jahren zu leiten, und ich möchte den Surge-Fans dafür danken, dass sie diese Reise zu einem so einzigartigen und unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht haben.
Am meisten werde ich es vermissen, Teil einer so besonderen Gruppe von Trainern, Spielern und Mitarbeiter gewesen zu sein. Dank dieser Beziehungen konnten wir hier in Stuttgart eine starke Kultur aufbauen, die uns darauf vorbereitet hat, gemeinsam jede Herausforderung zu meistern.
Als viele von uns im Oktober 2022 hier ankamen, insbesondere Coach Brenner, Coach Pastorino und ich selbst, glaubten wir daran, dass wir etwas Besonderes schaffen könnten. Und zweifellos war der Gewinn der ELF-Meisterschaft zu Hause ein bemerkenswerter Moment. Aber jetzt, wo ich gehe, wird mir klar, dass die wirklich besondere Leistung darin bestand, eine so unglaubliche Gruppe von Menschen zusammenzubringen und ein Umfeld zu schaffen, in dem wir uns gegenseitig aufrichtig schätzen und lieben.
Um unseren Quarterback zu zitieren: ‚Es geht nicht nur um das Ziel, sondern darum, mit wem man es verfolgt.‘ – und ich bin so dankbar für die Menschen, mit denen ich diesen Weg gegangen bin. Stuttgart Surge Bids Farewell to Head Coach Jordan Neuman
Stuttgart Surge is sad to say goodbye to head coach Jordan Neuman following the bankruptcy of American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH.
Neuman had been the Surge's head coach since 2023 and had shaped the franchise like no other. What was intended as a long-term, sustainable project has come to an early end. From Neuman's perspective, the past three years were just the beginning of a journey he wanted to continue in Stuttgart for many years to come.
When Jordan Neuman arrived in 2023, he realigned and profoundly changed the entire franchise. He guided the team through a challenging period and into a new era. Neuman established a clear identity and formed a performance-oriented, professional culture. He brought his authentic, determined, and motivating nature to bear on a daily basis. He inspired not only the team but also the fans, partners, and the entire region.
Under his leadership, the Surge became a top program in European football, becoming the 2023 runner-up and the 2025 European champion. Neuman built a championship team — a feat that would have been impossible without him. The Stuttgart Surge would not have become what it was without him.
The entire organization is deeply grateful to him. He made history in Stuttgart and will never be forgotten.

What I will miss most is being part of such a special group of coaches, players, and staff. It is because of these relationships that we were able to build a strong culture here in Stuttgart—one that prepared us to face any challenge together.
When many of us arrived in October 2022, especially Coach Brenner, Coach Pastorino, and myself, we believed we could create something special. And no doubt that winning the ELF Championship at home was a remarkable moment. But as I leave, I realize that the truly special achievement was assembling such an incredible group of people and cultivating an environment of genuine love and appreciation for each other.
