Marko Vidackovic bleibt – und mit ihm ein Spieler, der die Surge Defense mit vielseitigem Talent und enormen Teamgeist verstärken wird.
Der in Waiblingen geborene Defensive Back hat seinen Vertrag bei der Surge verlängert und wird auch 2025 alles dafür geben, das große Finale im heimischen Stuttgart zu erreichen.
"Ich will Energie einbringen, in meiner Rolle glänzen und der beste Teammate sein, der ich sein kann", formuliert der 1,86 Meter große und 90 Kilogramm schwere Athlet sein Ziel für die kommende Saison.
Vidackovic blickt auf eine eindrucksvolle Laufbahn zurück: Nach Stationen bei den Stuttgart Scorpions (2015-2017), seiner Zeit in den USA an der Lincoln High School (2017-2019) und bei den Oregon Ducks (2020-2023) – einem Top-Team der Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) der NCAA Division I – kehrte Vidackovic 2024 zurück nach Deutschland. Hier bestritt er in seiner ersten ELF-Saison sieben Spiele für die Surge und verzeichnete dabei 12 Total Tackles.
Seine außergewöhnlichen Qualitäten auf beiden Seiten des Balls zeigten sich auch bereits in seinem Senior Year an der Lincoln High School, wo er sowohl als Safety als auch Wide Receiver dominierte: Mit 38 Tackles, vier Tackles for Loss, einem Sack und vier Interceptions auf der defensiven Seite sowie 39 Receptions, 695 Yards und 9 Touchdowns in der Offense, wurde er verdient für das First Team der Portland Interscholastic League nominiert.

Marko Vidackovic is staying - and with him a player who will continue to strengthen the Surge defense with his versatile talent and tremendous team spirit.
The Waiblingen-born defensive back has extended his contract with the Surge and will continue to give his all to reach the grand final at home in Stuttgart in 2025.
“Bring the energy, shine in my role, and be the best teammate I can be”, is how the 1.86-metre, 90-kilogram athlete describes his goal for the coming season.
Vidackovic can look back on an impressive career: after spells with the Stuttgart Scorpions (2015-2017), his time in the USA at Lincoln High School (2017-2019) and with the Oregon Ducks (2020-2023) - a top team in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of NCAA Division I - Vidackovic returned to Germany in 2024. Here he played seven games for the Surge in his first ELF season, recording 12 total tackles.
