Über Erfahrung auf hohem Niveau im American Football verfügt Tobias Braun reichlich: Der 25-jährige Offensive Lineman, der ursprünglich aus Freiburg im Breisgau kommt, war für viele Jahre in den Vereinigten Staaten im Einsatz und spielte dort für namhafte Colleges. Nachdem er in den Jahren 2016 bis 2018 bei den Freiburg Scaristans seine Cleats schnürte, begann seine US-Karriere 2018 bei Bullard Brook Hill. 2019 wechselte er das Team und spielte eine Saison für die Salisbury Knights.
In dieser Zeit wurden sehr viele namhafte und hochrangige Collegeteams auf Tobias Braun aufmerksam und führten Gespräche mit ihm. Braun entschied sich für einen Vertrag bei den Ole Miss Rebels (NCAA Div. I FBS). Dort war er insgesamt drei Jahre, von 2020 bis 2022, im Einsatz. Auch von 2023 bis 2024 spielte Tobias Braun auf Division I FBS-Niveau bei den Arkansas State Red Wolves. Mit seiner Statur (2,03 Meter groß und 140 Kilogramm schwer) bringt der O-Liner neben der hochklassigen Erfahrung auch die nötige Physis mit, um die Stuttgart Surge bemerkenswert zu verstärken. Die Tatsache, dass sich Stuttgart Surge mittlerweile als eine Top-Adresse im europäischen Football etabliert hat, motivierte Tobias Braun zu seinem Engagement in der Landeshauptstadt:

Tobias Braun has a lot of experience at the highest level of American football: The 25-year-old offensive lineman from Freiburg, Germany, spent many years in the United States, where he played for renowned colleges. After lacing up his cleats for the Freiburg Scaristans from 2016 to 2018, he began his American career with Bullard Brook Hill in 2018. In 2019 he changed teams and played one season for the Salisbury Knights.
