Der Roster der Stuttgart Surge nimmt weiter Gestalt an. Der erste Tight End für 2023 steht nun auch in den Startlöchern. Philip Eichhorn ist in der European League of Football kein Unbekannter.
2016 begann der gebürtige Göppinger mit dem Football zunächst bei den Albershausen Crusaders, nach zwei Jahren erfolgte dann der Wechsel zu den Marburg Mercenaries und schließlich 2022 wechselte er dann zu den Leipzig Kings. 2023 wird er in seiner Heimat dann für Stuttgart Surge auflaufen.
Statement Philip Eichhorn: „Ich habe mich entschieden, in der kommenden Saison für Stuttgart Surge zu spielen, da meine private Situation mich zurück nach Göppingen geführt hat, das in der Nähe von Stuttgart liegt. Ich kenne Coach Neuman und seinen Stab von der deutschen Nationalmannschaft und auch von Wettkämpfen gegen die Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in der GFL. Mit seinem know-how in Stuttgart wird es in der nächsten Saison ein ganz anderes Stuttgart Surge Team/Franchise geben und ich bin stolz darauf, Teil dieses neuen Kapitels zu sein!“
Der 191cm große und 110Kg schwere Tight End hatte in der letzten Saison 5 Receptions für 54
Yards und einen Touchdown.
The Stuttgart Surge roster continues to take shape. The first tight end for 2023 is now also in the starting blocks. Philip Eichhorn is no stranger to the European League of Football. In 2016, the native of Göppingen began playing football, first with the Albershausen Crusaders, then after two years he moved to the Marburg Mercenaries and finally in 2022 he then moved to the Leipzig Kings. In 2023 he will play for Stuttgart Surge in his home county.
Statement Philip Eichhorn: „I chose to play for Stuttgart Surge this upcoming season cause my private situation brought me back to Göppingen which is next to Stuttgart. I know Coach Neuman and his staff from German national team and also from Competing against the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in the GFL. With him coming to Stuttgart there will be a whole different Stuttgart Surge Team/Franchise next Season and I’m proud to be part of
this new chapter!“
