Auch auf der Position des Kickers setzt Head Coach Jordan Neuman im Rahmen der Kaderplanung für die kommende Saison 2024 auf Kontinuität: Stuttgart Surge verlängert den Vertrag mit Lenny Krieg, der bereits 2023 als Kicker im Einsatz war.
Der 21-jährige Lenny Krieg spielte von 2020 bis 2021 für die U19-Mannschaft der Berlin Adler und schaffte 2022 den Sprung in das Seniorteam. Dort wurde er auf Anhieb zum Rookie of the Year der Berlin Adler gewählt. 2023 folgte sein Debüt in der European League of Football.
"Kick it like Lenny" bedeutet: Kicken mit hoher Präzision! In der Regular Season 2023 verwandelte Lenny Krieg 8 von 10 Field Goals. Mit seiner Field Goal-Erfolgsquote von 80 % rangiert er ligaweit unter den Top 3 der Kicker mit mehr als 3 Field Goal-Versuchen. In den Playoffs verwandelte er ein weiteres Field Goal.
Auch durch Points after Touchdowns (PATs) konnte Lenny Krieg viele Punkte für die Surge sichern: In den 12 Spielen der Regular Season erzielte er insgesamt 35 Punkte durch PATs; in den Playoffs war er zusätzlich so für 6 Punkte verantwortlich. Zusammen mit den Field Goals war Krieg also für insgesamt 68 Punkte der Stuttgarter Offense verantwortlich. 70,49 Prozent all seiner Kicks verwandelte er in Punkte.
Ganze 91 Mal führte Lenny Krieg den Kick Off aus und konnte in der Regular Season ganze 4720 Yards generieren - Top 4 ligaweit! In den Playoffs kamen nochmals 1256 Yards dazu. Lenny Krieg sorgte somit für die gegnerischen Offenses für herausfordernde Situationen auf dem Spielfeld.
Der junge Kicker fühlt sich in Stuttgart sehr wohl und möchte hier die nächsten Schritte in seiner Entwicklung machen:

Lenny Krieg, 21, played for the Berlin Adler U19 team from 2020 to 2021 and made the jump to the senior team in 2022. He was immediately voted Berlin Adler's Rookie of the Year. His debut in the European League of Football followed in 2023.

Lenny Krieg was also able to score a lot of points for the Surge with points after touchdowns (PATs): In the 12 games of the regular season, he scored a total of 35 points on PATs; in the playoffs, he added 6 points on PATs. Together with the field goals, Krieg was responsible for a total of 68 points for the Stuttgart offense. He converted 70.49 percent of his kicks into points.
He kicked 91 times and generated a total of 4720 yards in the regular season - top 4 in the league! He added another 1256 yards in the playoffs. Lenny Krieg made life difficult for opposing offenses on the field.
