Die Offensive Line bekommt Zuwachs von einer echten Kampfmaschine. Elias Becher wird in der kommenden Saison all seine Kraft dafür aufwenden, seine Mitspieler zu beschützen.
Den Wechsel zu Surge begründet das Kraftpaket folgendermaßen: „Ich habe mich für Surge entschieden, um die Offensive Line zu verstärken und weil die ELF die geilste Liga ist. Meine Ziele für dieses Jahr sind klar: Ich will eine verletzungsfreie Saison spielen, ein Statement in unserer Division setzen und Teil einer gut geölten Offensive Line sein.”
Elias war schon immer ein begeisterter Sportler, legte seinen Fokus aber zunächst auf den Kampf- und Kraftsport. Von 2004 bis 2010 ging er im Kyokushinkai-Karate auf Vollkontakt und ließ außerdem von 2006 bis 2009 im Schwergewichtsboxen die Fäuste fliegen. Nachdem er sich zwischenzeitlich eine Auszeit in diesen Sportarten nahm, fand er 2019 zum Strongman und Powerlifting (Kraftdreikampf) zurück. Insgesamt fehlte ihm dabei jedoch immer die Teamkomponente, sodass er schließlich beim Football landete.
2017 begann er bei den Dornhan Hornets und Vikingz Oberndorf in der O-Line und als Defensive Tackle. 2019 folgte der Wechsel zu den Albstadt Alligators in die Bezirksliga, für die er zwei Jahre lang spielte. Auf der Suche nach einer neuen Herausforderung schloss er sich 2021 den Stuttgart Scorpions an und wird dieses Jahr auf europäischer Ebene für Surge an den Start gehen. Am Football schätzt der 33-Jährige, dass jeder voll auf seine Kosten kommt, egal ob man Fan von Kraft, Strategie oder Taktik ist. Außerdem liebt er die kleinen technischen Details am Sport, an denen er immer arbeiten kann.
Der 1,90 m große und 142 kg schwere Athlet ist ein echter Teamplayer, was sich auch daran zeigt, dass er begeisterter Rettungsschwimmer ist. Auch in seinen Aussagen wird dies deutlich: „Die geilsten Momente sind, wenn mich meine Tochter im Stadion anfeuert oder wenn sich der Quarterback bei mir bedankt, weil ich einen guten Job gemacht habe”, gibt sich der O-Liner bescheiden. Dies täuscht jedoch nicht darüber hinweg, dass in ihm ein absolut ehrgeiziger Competitor und harter Arbeiter steckt.
A real powerhouse is added to the offensive line. Elias Becher will give everything he has got to protect his teammates in the upcoming season.
He talks about his the move to Stuttgart Surge as follows: "I decided to join the Surge to strengthen the offensive line and because the ELF is the coolest league. My goals for this year are very clear: I want to avoid injuries, make a statement in our division and be a part of a well-oiled offensive line."
Elias has always been an athlete through an through, initially focusing on combat sports and strength conditioning. From 2004 to 2010 he participated in Kyokushinkai karate (full contact karate) and also was active as a heavyweight boxer from 2006 to 2009. After taking some time off he came back to strongman events and also powerlifting in 2019. Those disciplines always lacked the team aspect, which is why he ultimately made the swtich to American football.

Looking for a new challenge in 2021, he decided to join the Stuttgart Scorpions and will now compete for the Surge at the European level in 2022. What he likes about football is the fact, that whether you like the aspect of strenght, strategy or tactics, you can always enjoy yourself. Furthermore, the 33-year-old loves the small technical details where he can always seek to improve upon.
The 6' 3" and 313 lbs athlete is a real team player, a fact that is demonstrated by his enthusiasm for his role as a lifeguard. Moreover, it shines through in his statements: "The coolest moments are when my daughter is cheering me on in the stadium or when the quarterback is thankful to me after the game because I simply did a good job," he humbly says. However, this can not hide the fact, that he is a fierce competitor and always works incredibly hard.
