Das erste Player-Signing von Stuttgart Surge steht fest und ein alter Bekannter feiert sein Comeback am Fernsehturm. Louis Geyer wird ein zweites Mal für die Schwaben auflaufen und seine ELF-Karriere dort fortsetzen, wo er sie begonnen hat.
Bereits in der Premierensaison der European League of Football zog der 1,88 m große und 90 kg schwere Wide Receiver für die Surge den Helm auf und konnte am Ende des Jahres den Titel des ELF Rookie of the Year gewinnen. Mit 22 Receptions für 450 Yards (20,5 Average) und 3 Touchdowns ließ er dort sein Potenzial aufblitzen. Bei den Cologne Centurions etablierte er sich in der Saison 2022 schließlich zu einem der verlässlichsten Receiver und erzielte 47 Receptions für 687 Yards (14,6 Avg.) und 9 Touchdowns. Das Intermezzo in Köln zeigt deutlich, welche Entwicklung der erst 21-Jährige genommen hat. Nun möchte er das nächste Level wieder in Stuttgart erreichen.

2015 begann der gebürtige Ludwigsburger in seiner Heimatstadt bei den Bulldogs mit American Football. Bereits im nächsten Jahr folgte der Wechsel in die U-19-Mannschaft der Stuttgart Scorpions, mit welcher er 2019 die Südmeisterschaft der GFL Juniors gewann. 2021 war er Teil des ersten Rosters der Stuttgart Surge, 2023 kehrt er nach einjähriger Zwischenstation Köln also wieder zurück.
Stuttgart Surge has signed it's first player and a familiar face returns. Louis Geyer will play a second time for the Swabians and will continue his ELF career where it started.
The 6′2″ and 198lbs wide receiver strapped up for the Surge in the inaugural season of the ELF and ultimately won the ELF Rookie of the Year award. He showed his potential wtih 22 receptions for 450 yards (20.5 per attempt) and 3 touchdowns. In 2022, he established himself as one of the most reliable receivers with the Cologne Centurions, racking up 47 receptions for 687 yards (14.6 per attempt) and 9 touchdowns. The brief stint in Cologne clearly shows the 21-year-old's development. Now he returns to Stuttgart to reach the next level.

The Ludwigsburg native started playing American Football in 2015 in his hometown. Only one year later, he made the switch to the U19 team of the Stuttgart Scorpions, where in 2019 he won the GFL Juniors Southern Championship together with the team. He was part of the inaugural Surge roster in 2021 and now returns for the 2023 season after a brief stint in Cologne.
