Zum vierten Saisonspiel waren die Raiders Tirol aus Innsbruck nach Stuttgart gereist, um gegen Surge auf der Waldau anzutreten. Bereits im ersten Drive konnten sich die Österreicher weit in die Hälfte der Stuttgarter vorarbeiten und hatten Glück, als eine Interception von Surge wegen Pass Interference zurückgenommen wurde. Der anschließende Pass von Quarterback Sean Shelton auf Receiver Adrian Platzgummer brachte die ersten Punkte auf das Konto der Gäste und den frühen 0:7 Rückstand für Surge. Im Gegenzug konnte die Offense keinen nennenswerten Raumgewinn erzielen und war erarbeitete man sich mal ein paar Yards, machten die zahlreichen Strafen diese wieder zunichte. Die Raiders kamen anschließen kurz vor der Stuttgarter Endzone wieder in Ballbesitz, als Jonata Loria vor dem Punt zu Boden gerissen wurde.
Quarter zwei begann fast mit einer Interception für Stuttgart, doch leider konnte der Ball nur abgeblockt und nicht gefangen werden. Trotzdem wurden die Raiders kurz vor der Endzone gestoppt und zu einem Field Goal gezwungen, welches sie sicher verwandelten. Während die Stuttgarter Offensive weiter Sand im Getriebe hatte, konnten die Raiders ihren Vorsprung im nächsten Drive ausbauen und durch einen Touchdownrun auf 0:17 davonziehen. Anschließend kam der erste gute Offensivdrive der Surge, der 30 Yards vor der Endzone gestoppt wurde. Jedoch resultierten auch daraus keine Punkte, da das versuchte Field Goal geblockt wurde. An einem Tag, an dem fast gar nichts zusammenlief, passte das ins Gesamtbild. Ein weiteres Field Goal der Österreicher stellte den Halbzeitstand von 0:20 her.
Halbzeit zwei begann mit mutigen Stuttgartern, die zuerst einen vierten Versuch verwandelten, anschließend im Drive jedoch in genau diesem scheiterten. Was in Quarter drei folgte, kann getrost als Festival der Punts bezeichnet werden, bis die Raiders einen langen Pass fingen und anschließend durch Runningback Lukas Haslwanter einen Touchdown erzielten. Im vierten Viertel konnte sich Stuttgart Surge bis ein Yard vor die Endzone vorarbeiten, aber auch hier konnte der Ball in vier Versuchen nicht zum Touchdown eingelaufen werden. Die Raiders machten es in ihrem letzten Drive besser und schraubten den Spielstand auf 0:33 hoch, was auch gleichzeitig der Endstand war. Ein Spiel, welches ganz schnell aus den Köpfen der Stuttgartern heraus muss.
The Raiders Tirol travelled from Innsbruck to Stuttgart to play the fourth game of the season. With their first drive they went deep into the Surge half and were lucky as an interception was called back due to pass interference. The following pass from quarterback Sean Shelton to receiver Adrian Platzgummer brought the first points onto the board and a 0:7 lead for the guests. The Surge offense could hardly move a few yards forward and if they did so their penalties ruined all their efforts. Punter Jonata Loria was brought down right before the endzone as the Raiders regained posession shortly before the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter could have started with an interception for Stuttgart Surge but the ball was only batted down and not caught. Nevertheless, the defense stopped the guests around the 10 yard line and forced them to kick a field goal, which was scored without any problems. The offensive efforts of the Surge continued to stall while the Raiders moved to a 0:17 lead during their next drive thanks to another touchdown run. The first good offensive drive of Stuttgart was stopped at around the 30 yard line but no points were scored as the kick was blocked by the Raiders. It was a day where nothing seemed to work for the Surge and another field goal by the Raiders moved them to a 0:20 lead at halftime.
The second half started with some brave plays by the Surge as they moved forward on a fourth down at first but couldn't convert a second fourth down during that drive. What followed in quarter three could be described as a festival of punts until the Raiders caught a deep ball and scored a touchdown on the next play thanks to running back Lukas Haslwanter. Stuttgart Surge moved to the opposing 1 yard line during the fourth quarter but still couldn't score a touchdown. In contrast, the Raiders scored another one right before the end of the game and the final result was 0:33. A game which quickly needs to be forgotten by everyone involved with Stuttgart Surge.
