Weiteres Signing bei den Wide Receivern. Luca Faschian stößt zu Stuttgart Surge und wird dieses Jahr die Gruppe der Passempfänger unterstützen.
„Stuttgart Surge war der nächste Schritt in meiner Entwicklung, da ich schon immer auf ein noch höheres Level will. Ich hab die Chance gesehen, mich voll reingehängt und sie genutzt. Mein Ziel für dieses Jahr ist es, die Mannschaft zu unterstützen und mein Bestes zu geben, damit wir erfolgreich sind,” erklärt Luca zu den Beweggründen, für Stuttgart Surge zu spielen.
Der mittlerweile 25-Jährige ist seit 2015 im American Football aktiv und begann zunächst in der Schweiz bei den Basel Gladiators. Dort konnte er sofort Erfolge feiern und gewann mit der U19-Mannschaft die schweizer Meisterschaft. Anschließend folgte der Wechsel zu den Seniors, für die er ein Jahr lang aktiv war, ehe er sich im Winter 2018 beim Tryout der Stuttgart Scorpions empfehlen konnte und den Wechsel in die GFL vollzog. Da er seit Beginn seiner Footballkarriere die GFL aufmerksam verfolgte, konnte er hier neben Spielern aufs Feld gehen, die er zuvor nur aus der Berichterstattung kannte.
Dies hinderte den 1,89 m großen und 87 kg schweren Wide Receiver jedoch nicht daran, sofort seine Leistung auf dem Platz zu zeigen. In seiner ersten Saison konnte er 50 Catches für insgesamt 850 Yards Raumgewinn und fünf Touchdowns erzielen. Der duale Student der Fitnesswissenschaften und Fitnessökonomie wechselt nun zu Stuttgart Surge und möchte sich hier in der ELF auf dem höchsten europäischen Level beweisen. Als ehrgeiziger Mensch sucht er immer nach Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten und studiert fleißig Film, um Dinge sofort zu erkennen und umzusetzen. Seine Ziele verfolgt er dieses Jahr weiterhin in Stuttgart und arbeitet hart an deren Umsetzung.

"Stuttgart Surge was the next step in my development, because I always wanted to reach a higher level. I have seen an opportunity, worked really hard for it and took it. My goal for this year is to support the team and give everything I have for us to be successful," Luca says about his reasons to play for Stuttgart Surge.
The now 25-year-old first started with American football in 2015 with the Basel Gladiators in Switzerland. He enjoyed immediate success with the U19-team as they won the Swiss championship. He then joined the senior team for whom he played one season before making the switch to the GFL and the Stuttgart Scorpions after he attracted interest at the winter tryout in 2018. Since the start of his American football career he followed the GFL closely and therefore could step onto the gridiron next to players he had previously known only from media coverage.
However, this did not hinder the 6'2" tall and 192 lbs heavy wide receiver from quickly finding his feet and form. In his first season, he racked up 50 catches for 850 yards and five touchdowns. The student of fitness science and fitness now joins Stuttgart Surge and wants to prove himself at the highest European level. As an ambitious person, he’s always looking for ways to improve and is constantly studying film to recognize mistakes and to implement the corrections right away. He now continues to pursue his goals in Stuttgart and is working hard to achieve his dreams.
