Nikolas Knoblauch ist in der European League of Football und in Europa kein Unbekannter, auch für Surge stand er letztes Jahr auf dem Platz. Nun kehrt er zurück.
Statement Nikolas Knoblauch: „Ich freue mich, wieder in Stuttgart zu sein, denn ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass eine neue Ära für Surge beginnt. Die Vergangenheit ist vorbei und kann nicht mehr geändert werden. 2023 wird jedoch das Jahr sein, in dem wir das wahre Potenzial und Talent dieser Region zeigen können. Das sind wir unseren Fans und uns selbst schuldig. Es ist an der Zeit, die Trophäe nach Stuttgart zu holen! LFG! Feel the Surge!”

Seit 2015 ist er auch Teil der italienischen Nationalmannschaft. Durch seine verschiedenen Engagements gewann er bereits zwei German Bowls und alleine 2021 vier Championships (Spanien, Norwegen, European League of Football und Europameisterschaft). Unglücklicherweise kam er nach seiner Verpflichtung bei Surge verletzungsbedingt wenig zum Einsatz, erzielte dennoch im letzten Spiel der Saison einen Tackle for Loss und einen Sack gegen sein früheres Team Frankfurt Galaxy. 2023 wird der Linebacker ein weiteres Jahr für Stuttgart Surge auf dem Feld stehen. Für die neuen Coaches Jordan Neuman und Johannes Brenner ist Nikolas Knoblauch kein Unbekannter, schließlich gewann er mit dem Duo bereits 2017 und 2018 den German Bowl.
Nikolas Knoblauch is no stranger to the European League of Football and Europe as he was on the field for the Surge last year. He now returns after having played only a handful of games due to injury.
