Nachdem Aurieus und Darnell Minton bei Surge unter Vertrag genommen wurden, folgen jetzt zwei weitere Brüder für die kommende Saison: Majan und Sasan Jelvani.
Beide begannen mit dem Football bei den Saarland Hurricanes. Der 4 Jahre ältere Sasan bereits 2009, Majan dann ab 2013. Der 27-Jährige Sasan blieb den Hurricanes bis 2021 treu und wechselte nie die Mannschaft. Majan dagegen wechselte 2019 zu den Cologne Crocodiles und 2022 schließlich zu Rhein Fire.
Sasan konnte durch seine Erfahrung auch schon einige Erfolge für sich verbuchen, so war er 2020 in der GFL2 Sack und TFL Leader und 2021 in der GFL Sack und TFL Leader. Ebenfalls 2021 wurde er zum GFL All Star ausgewählt.
Statement Sasan Jelvani: „Ich möchte mich bei der Surge-Organisation für die Möglichkeit bedanken, für sie zu spielen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass Coach Neumann und sein Team eine sehr konkurrenzfähige Mannschaft aufbauen, die viel mehr Spiele gewinnen kann als in den letzten beiden Jahren. Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, für Stuttgart zu spielen.“
Majan Jelvani fügt an: „Ich freue mich sehr, ein Teil der Stuttgarter Franchise zu werden und unter einem der besten Trainerstäbe der Liga zu spielen. Außerdem ist es ein wahrgewordener Traum, wieder gemeinsam mit meinem Bruder auf dem Feld zu stehen. Ich bin bereit, meinen Einfluss geltend zu machen und alles zu tun, um dem Team zu helfen.“
Brüder bei Stuttgart Surge sind keine Seltenheit, so war in der ersten Saison Lucky Ogbevoen unter Vertrag, 2022 folgte sein Bruder Precious Ogbevoen zu Stuttgart Surge. Diese Saison stehen aber erstmals Brüder gemeinsam auf dem Feld Majan und Sasan Jelvani in der Defense und Aurieus und Darnell Minton in der Offense.
After Aurieus and Darnell Minton signed with Surge, two more brothers follow for the upcoming season: Majan and Sasan Jelvani.
Both started playing football with the Saarland Hurricanes. Brothers at Stuttgart Surge are not uncommon, with Lucky Ogbevoen signed in the first season and his brother Precious Ogbevoen following to Stuttgart Surge in 2022. This season, however, is the first time brothers will be on the field together Majan and Sasan Jelvani on defense and Aurieus and Darnell Minton on offense.
