Die Umbauten am Roster von Stuttgart Surge gehen weiter und nach den Abgängen von Enrico Pascual und Moritz Scharr, musste sich Stuttgart Surge auf der Position des Wide Receivers nochmals verstärken. Mit dem Franzosen Idriss Ramky kommt dabei ein Spieler, der schon in den USA aktiv war.
Idriss begann im Alter von 12 Jahren in Reims mit dem American Football und musste dabei schon früh im Training gegen die Erwachsenen ran, denn eine Jugendabteilung gab es nicht. Dies tat seiner Entwicklung jedoch keinen Abbruch und schon ein Jahr später konnte er mit Freunden und deren Freunden so viele Spieler stellen, dass ein Jugendteam entstand. Zunächst begann er als Quarterback und verbrachte die nächsten drei Jahre in Reims.
Sein damaliger Coach riet ihm schließlich zu einem Wechsel zur Pôle France d’Amiens, einer französischen Auswahl. Dort traf er auf ehemalige NFL- und Nationalspieler und konnte sich durch deren Coaching stets verbessern. Nach einigen Monaten wurde er in die U19-Auswahl Frankreichs eingeladen, mit der er 2013 an der Europameisterschaft in Düsseldorf teilnahm und sich nur den Österreichern im Finale geschlagen geben musste. 2014 belegte er mit dem Team bei den Weltmeisterschaften in Kuwait Platz fünf und auch 2015 nahm er wieder an der Europameisterschaft teil.
Im Anschluss daran wagte er den Schritt in die USA und ging ans College of the Desert im Süden Kaliforniens. Aufgrund der starken Konkurrenz wechselte der 1,88 m große und 90 kg schwere Idriss die Position und war ab sofort als Wide Receiver im Einsatz. 2018 ging er dann aus privaten Gründen nach Frankreich zurück und musste seine sportliche Karriere für ein Jahr unterbrechen. Er widmete sich danach weiterhin seinem Studium und kehrte nach Amiens zurück, um dort Football zu spielen und auch Training zu geben. Ende letzten Jahres verband er Studium und Sport bei den Grizzlys Catalans aus Perpignan und nun kommt er also nach Stuttgart um auf europäischer Bühne zu spielen.

Idriss started playing American football at the age of 12 in Reims and had to practice with the adult team at first as there was no youth team. This did not hinder his development though and one year later he and his friends and their friends were enough to form a youth team. He started out as a quarterback and spent the next three years in Reims.
His coach at the time then advised him to transfer to Pôle France d’Amiens where he met forme NFL and national team players and was able to constantly improve himself thanks to their coaching. After some months, he was invited to the French under-19s and took part in the 2013 European Championships in Düsseldorf together with the team, where they were only beaten by Austria in the final. In 2014, Idriss and the team finished fifth at the World Championships in Kuwait and one year later also participated again in the European Championships.
He then ventured to the USA and decided to play for the College of the Desert in southern California. Due to the strong competition at quarterback, the 6'2" tall and 196 lbs Idriss moved to wide receiver. In 2018, he had to go back to France due to personal reasons and took a one year hiatus from his sporting career. He then continued to dedicate himself to his studies and returned to Amiens to play and also coach football. At the end of last year, he combined his studies and his sport with the Grizzlys Catalans from Perpignan and now he's coming to Stuttgart to play on the European stage.
