Defensive Lineman Alexander Kreß, auch „Mücke“ genannt, wurde von der Stuttgart Surge re-signed und wird nächstes Jahr wieder an der Defensive Line für Unruhe in der gegnerischen Offensive sorgen.
Im Jahr 2023 kam Kreß zur Stuttgart Surge und konnte gleich im ersten Saisonspiel mit einem Paukenschlag gegen die Paris Musketeers auf sich aufmerksam machen: Nicht nur, dass er gegen die Pariser Offensive mit 1 Sack und 2,5 Tackles for Loss agierte und insgesamt 20 Yards Raumverlust für die Pariser verursachte – hinzu kam noch ein Safety, der der Stuttgarter Offensive 2 Punkte einbrachte und somit das Spiel entschied. Über die gesamte Saison hinweg war „Mücke“ ein Garant für die Stuttgarter Defense.
Die vergangene Saison war für Kreß Teil einer Entwicklung, die er mit der Stuttgart Surge fortsetzen möchte:

Nachdem er in den Jahren 2011 bis 2016 bei den Albershausen Crusaders das Footballspielen erlernte und mehrere Aufstiege auf Verbandsebene feiern konnte, wurde er 2017 von den Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns verpflichtet und spielte sehr erfolgreich in der GFL. Bis 2022 gewann er dreimal den German Bowl (2017, 2018 und 2022) und zweimal den CEFL Bowl (2021 und 2022).
Kreß hat das Zeug zum Champion und wird im kommenden Jahr seinen Teil zum Erfolg der Stuttgart Surge beitragen: „Go Surge!“
Defensive lineman Alexander Kreß, also known as "Mücke", has been re-signed by the Stuttgart Surge and will be back on the defensive line next year to cause trouble for opposing offenses.
Kreß joined the Stuttgart Surge in 2023 and made an immediate impact in the first game of the season against the Paris Musketeers: He had 1 sack and 2.5 tackles for loss against the Paris offense, causing a total loss of 20 yards for the Paris offense, and he added a safety to set up 2 points for the Stuttgart offense to win the game. Throughout the season, "Mücke" was a guarantee for the Stuttgart defense.
For Kreß, the past season has helped him grow, and he would like to continue to grow with the Stuttgart Surge:

After learning to play football with the Albershausen Crusaders from 2011 to 2016 and celebrating several promotions on the club level, he was signed by the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in 2017 and played very successfully in the GFL. By 2022, he had won the German Bowl three times (2017, 2018 and 2022) and the CEFL Bowl twice (2021 and 2022).
Kreß has what it takes to be a champion, and he's going to help the Stuttgart Surge succeed in the coming year: "Go Surge!"
