Alessandro Vergani is a further reinforcement for the Stuttgart Surge offensive line

The offensive line at Stuttgart Surge gets another addition: With Alessandro Vergani an experienced and successful O-liner joins the team as protector of Reilly Hennessey.

Statement Alessandro Vergani: "As soon as coach Neuman, coach Pastorino and coach Brenner signed for Stuttgart Surge I decided to follow them. I trust them 100%, it will be an incredible season and I can't wait to start this new adventure in the European League of Football. I love challenges."

Alessandro started his career in 2009 in his native Italy with the Daemons Cernusco in the U21. In 2014, he went to the Panthers Parma, where he was immediately voted as the league’s O-line MVP. A year later he ventured to the next challenge with the Rhinos Milano, where he again was voted O-line MVP. In 2016, he finally picked up his first ring as Italian champion.

In 2018, he moved to the GFL to play for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. There he won the German Bowl twice, the CEFL Bowl twice and was elected twice to the GFL South All-Star team. At the same time, he played for the Italian national team since 2012 and together with the team won the European Championship in 2021.

The 6′3″tall and 287 lbs heavy Vergani is no stranger to Surge coaches or players. After all, he will meet teammates from his time in Schwäbisch Hall and the national team, with whom he won the German Bowl in 2018 and the European Championship in 2021.
